Sourdough Discard Banana Bread (Dairy Free)
Delicious, Easy to make discard recipe sure to have the whole family wanting more.
Equipment
- 1 bread loaf tin
Ingredients
- 3 extra ripe bananas medium
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 80 g dairy free butter melted miyokos, kite hill, etc
- 100 g sourdough starter discard
- 200 g unbleached flour all purpose
- 2 tsp baking powder aluminum free
- 100 g coconut sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350˚F
- Mash bananas with a fork until they are smooth and mix in vanilla
- Beat the egg and add in with mashed banana mixture
- mix in melted butter to banana mixture
- Add the sourdough discard to the banana mixture and mix together
- In a clean bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together
- Add the banana mixture (wet) to the flour mixture (dry) and stir until combined.
- Pour into a greased loaf tin and bake at 350˚F for 1 hr or until a toothpick comes out clean
- Let bread rest for 30min before removing from tin.
